Role and ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking experienced professionals to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of advanced grid management and energy market software solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of power systems domain expertise and software development experience, with the ability to work on high-availability electricity market and grid operations platforms.
- Enhance, evolve, and support high-availability electricity market and grid management software applications.
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot power systems application functionality.
- Participate in software design, development, testing, implementation, and production support activities.
- Create code fixes, model conversion tools, documentation, and user interface enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment.
- Support software implementations and project delivery activities.
- Analyze and resolve technical issues impacting power system applications.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of software performance, quality, and reliability.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related discipline.
- Experience in Power Systems Analysis.
- Experience with Power Systems Application Software Development and Implementation.
- Knowledge of electricity markets, grid operations, or energy management systems.
- Hands-on software development experience in one or more of the following: Java, C, .NET.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience working in Agile software development environments.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with Security Constrained Unit Commitment (SCUC), Economic Dispatch, Mixed Integer Programming (MIP), Optimization algorithms, Applied Mathematics, or Operations Research.
- Experience supporting Energy Management Systems (EMS), grid software, or related utility applications.
- Knowledge of grid modernization, stability, and integrated grid solutions.
