Job Requirements

POSITION: Power Electrical Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineering Support team member focused on power supply and power delivery hardware. In this execution-focused role, you will help bring up, test, benchmark, and characterize power circuits and rails, run bench measurements, and organize results to support engineering and validation efforts. This role is ideal for someone comfortable in the lab, methodical with data, and eager to deepen their expertise in power electronics..

What You Will Do:
  • Perform bench bring-up, functional testing, and characterization of power supply circuits, regulators, and power rails.
  • Benchmark power performance: efficiency, load/line regulation, ripple and noise, transient response, quiescent current, and thermal behavior.
  • Measure and characterize battery, charging, and power-delivery behavior across operating conditions and corners.
  • Set up and operate lab equipment: oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, programmable power supplies, electronic loads, source measure units (SMUs), data acquisition (DAQ) systems, and current/power measurement rigs.
  • Build, modify, and maintain test fixtures, cabling, sense/Kelvin connections, and bench setups for power measurement.
  • Execute power test plans, log results, and flag anomalies for review.
  • Capture, clean, and analyze measurement data; produce clear efficiency curves, waveforms, plots, and summary reports.
  • Assist with board rework, soldering, and basic power circuit debug tasks.
  • Track units, samples, and devices under test; maintain lab inventory and test logs.
  • Document test procedures and keep power validation records up to date.

What You Will Bring:
  • Associate's/Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, EE Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Understanding of power electronics fundamentals (regulators, DC-DC converters, power rails, voltage/current measurement).
  • Ability to read schematics and use standard electrical lab instruments.
  • Basic soldering / rework and bench debugging skills.
  • Strong data hygiene - accurate, well-organized record keeping.
  • Clear written and verbal communication; reliable and detail-oriented.

Work Experience

Preferred Skill:
  • Hands-on experience characterizing or benchmarking power supplies, regulators, or battery/charging systems.
  • Familiarity with electronic loads, SMUs, and precision power measurement setups.
  • Scripting for test automation or data processing (Python preferred).
  • Experience with automated power test frameworks and DAQ tooling.
  • Experience with electronics or small-form-factor hardware development.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving, iterative hardware development environment.
