Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled POS Systems Engineer to support and enhance technology across a large-scale retail environment. The role focuses on point-of-sale systems, payment processing, fuel and forecourt systems, and store infrastructure. Responsibilities include system troubleshooting, automation, software deployments, and continuous platform improvements to maintain a stable and secure retail technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Support, troubleshoot, and maintain retail technology and store software platforms.
• Design, test, deploy, and improve technical store infrastructure solutions.
• Automate administrative and deployment processes using scripting languages.
• Utilize database queries for system troubleshooting and data analysis.
• Support software deployments, system upgrades, device rollouts, and scheduled maintenance windows.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams and external vendors to maintain a stable and secure store environment.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of technical systems engineering or systems support experience within a distributed environment.
• Strong scripting capabilities using Windows PowerShell.
• Database querying skills using SQL.
• Strong Windows operating system troubleshooting expertise.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting retail store environments, payment technologies, or distributed systems.
• Familiarity with GK Retail POS, ACI ConnectUp, Allied Site Controllers, or Verifone systems.
• Experience with Linux or OpenSUSE platforms.
• Familiarity with Gilbarco Insite360 or ACI TMS.
