Full Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
  • Monitor and maintain the standard loan portfolio processes, procedures, and practices for Corporate Syndication and C&I Lending, which include credit risk, interest rate risk, liquidity risk, price risk, transaction risk, foreign exchange risk, compliance risk, strategic risk, and reputation risk.
  • Control risk and identify issues on more complex commercial & industrial - loan applications and credit processing to increase the revenue and ensure safe and sound loans for profitability and growth. Identify prospects for Relationship Managers and Team Leader to grow the clientele base and portfolio.
  • Assist Team Leader to manage the credit and risk quality of the team's portfolio including approving items, transactions, and requests whenever the Team Leader is not available. Subject to proper delegation of authority from Team Leader.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Portfolio Management (100%)
  • Monitor and maintain the overall loan portfolio processes, procedures, and practice to support Team Leader.
  • Work with Team Leader on specific projects including portfolio reviews, updating of credit processes within the portfolio, risk rating policy, etc.
  • Review, analyze, consolidate market, industry, and risk analyses and data to develop C& I loan portfolios in the expertise industry and segment.
  • Assess and review Corporate Syndication and C&I loan portfolios, measurement indexes, and provide inputs in the expertise industry and segment.
  • Interface with origination and product specialists to review credit strategy and develop proactive plans for all assigned portfolios.
  • Independently analyze and evaluate the risks in the segment, conduct the risk selection, oversee the risk of individual loans, control the quality of loan approvals, and administer the performance of loan continues.
  • Assess and minimize risks on more complex Corporate Syndication and C&I loans by following operational standard procedures, identifying suspicious/inconsistent activities, notifying appropriate parties, and taking appropriate actions.
  • Review loan packages and analyze credit information, making the detailed assessment of an applicants' creditworthiness.
  • Measure credit risks, portfolio stress tests, and analyze collaterals as applicable to loan structure and terms.
  • Analyze financial conditions and operating results of applicants to ensure adequate line limits and usage.
  • Analyze the performance of Corporate Syndication and C&I loan portfolios, operation of loan productions and maintain the good asset quality in the assigned team.
  • Drive loan terminations, securing internal/external parties' understanding, compliance, and completion.
  • Lead remedial credit management and analyses of structured transactions.
  • Participate in the Corporate Syndication and C&I associations and networking events to market loan products and solutions the Bank offers.
  • Identify watch list and /or problem credits and take appropriate action including the seeking of assistance in deteriorating credit situations from the Team Leader or senior management.
  • Prepare regular reports and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Assist Team Leader to coach junior Loan Portfolio Officers' skills of identifying problems and issues, managing risks.
  • Perform related duties, as required, for the training and development purposes.
  • Perform all assigned duties under Bank's compliance programs and related laws & regulations.
  • Successfully complete all mandatory training on related Bank's and BSA compliance as well as other laws and regulations as assigned and in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Education, Experience and Skills Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Business-related field is preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in dealing with Corporate Syndication and C&I loans is preferred.
  • Ability to analyze, underwrite, and administer Corporate Syndication and C&I loan portfolios.
  • Strong credit and financial analyzing, underwriting, sales, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of commercial and industrial lending guidelines and productions, all applicable State and Federal regulations.
  • Ability to analyze and consolidate data to develop Corporate Syndication and C&I loan portfolio processes, procedures, and to implement practices.
  • Ability to independently negotiate large amount of loan contracts and minimize asset quality.
  • Ability to apply computer software programs in evaluating financial information and maintaining loan information.
  • Formal credit training and CFA or related certification is preferred.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Minimum mobility to work in an office setting; sit for prolonged period of times; operate office equipment including use of a computer keyboard; and reach with hands and arms. Employees are occasionally required to walk and stand and lift and move records and documents weighing 30 pounds or less.


COMMUNICATION DEMANDS:
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, self-motivated, and analytical skills, ability to interact with all levels of management and staff.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Standard office environment. Noise level in work environment is usually average. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $80,000.00/Yr. - USD $175,000.00/Yr plus full benefits. Exact offer will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
