About the Role:The PMO Leader in is responsible for establishing and overseeing the Project Management Office to ensure the successful delivery of engineering projects across the organization. This role involves developing standardized project management methodologies, tools, and processes that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. The PMO Leader will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project portfolios, and provide strategic guidance to optimize resource allocation and mitigate risks. They will serve as a key liaison between executive leadership, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement. Ultimately, the PMO Leader drives project excellence, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in project management within the construction industry.
- Proven experience leading a Project Management Office or managing multiple large-scale complex engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of engineering project lifecycle, including project planning, scope management, scheduling, budgeting, resource management, risk management, and project closeout.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Supervisory experience is required.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and effectively communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
- Master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or Business Administration.
- Experience with project management and professional services platforms such as Deltek, Ajera, Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or similar systems.
- Familiarity with Lean Construction principles and sustainable building practices.
- Experience developing and implementing PMO standards, policies, procedures and performance metrics.
Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, and maintain project management frameworks, standards, and best practices tailored to the construction industry.
- Lead and mentor a team of project managers and coordinators to ensure consistent application of project management principles.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple construction projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Manage project portfolio reporting, including progress tracking, risk assessment, and resource management to inform executive decision-making.
- This position may be responsible for supervising employees.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among project teams, stakeholders, and external partners to resolve issues and drive project success.
- Continuously evaluate project performance metrics and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Coordinate with finance and procurement departments to monitor budgets, contracts, and vendor performance.
