Moseley is seeking an experienced
Plumbing Designer (Plumbing Engineer) to be an integral member of our engineering team. In this role, you'll work in a multi-discipline environment and be engaged in calculations, design, layout and specifications of commercial and institutional plumbing system projects.

Contact: Tamara Langhorne [redacted]Experience & Qualifications:- 5+ years of plumbing engineering design experience preferably with large institutional or commercial projects.
- 4-year Engineering degree from an accredited college or university OR equivalent work experience. ASPE-CPD preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of REVIT and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Expertise in International Plumbing Code (IPC) and design application of local codes and standards on a project-by-project basis. Familiarity with NFPA 13 is preferred.
- Advanced organizational skills with the ability to work in a self-sufficient manner while providing strict attention to detail. Demonstrated troubleshooter and problem solver.
- In-person participation in client meetings. Possesses strong communication and presentation abilities.
What You'll Be Doing:Design & Drafting:- Lead the design of plumbing systems for various types of projects, including water distribution, sanitary sewer and vent systems, primary and secondary storm drainage, gas systems, and compressed air systems.
- Prepare detailed construction drawings, including floor plans, enlarged plans, section, details, schedules, and piping diagrams using Revit.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable federal and local codes, regulations, and project specifications.
Task Management:- Manage plumbing design tasks and schedules ensuring timely delivery of drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with other disciplines (architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, food service) to ensure cohesive design integration.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment with minimal oversight.
Code Compliance & Documentation:- Research and interpret building codes, plumbing codes, industry standards, and client standards.
- Prepare necessary documentation for code submissions, including drawings, calculations, and specifications.
Construction Administration:- Conduct on-site surveys to evaluate existing systems and ensure that installation meets design intent.
- Provide construction support by resolving issues that arise during installation, answering RFIs, revising drawings as necessary, and reviewing project submittals for compliance.
- Attend site inspections to confirm installation matches design specifications and ensure system functionality.
Compensation (MD): $80,000-$110,000. Annual salary is commensurate with education & experience.
