This hands-on role offers the opportunity to work across business applications and plant control systems-from developing C# applications and supporting SQL Server to programming Allen-Bradley PLCs and maintaining operator interfaces. Working with engineering and production teams, you'll solve operational problems, improve automation, and help reduce downtime.
What you'll do- Maintain servers and IT networks, and develop and support interfaces between business and process applications.
- Develop, implement, and maintain PLC programs that control manufacturing equipment and production processes.
- Program and maintain Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI systems.
- Troubleshoot and debug PLC programs and automation systems to resolve problems and improve performance.
- Perform regular maintenance and upgrades to PLC hardware and software.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to design and optimize automation systems that improve productivity and operating efficiency.
- Follow applicable industry standards and safety regulations in programming and system operation.
- Maintain clear documentation of programming changes, system configurations, and operating procedures.
- Train and support personnel in PLC operation and programming.
- Stay current with developments in PLC technology and industrial automation.
What you'll bring- A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience programming PLCs and supporting automation systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong C# programming skills and knowledge of PLC programming languages, including Ladder Logic and Structured Text.
- Strong knowledge of PLC hardware, including Allen-Bradley systems; knowledge of Siemens systems is also relevant.
- Proven experience with SQL Server, Microsoft 365, Power BI, Oracle PI, and web pages.
- A thorough understanding of manufacturing operations and how control systems support production.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
- The ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with others.
- Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills.
Preferred experience- SCADA systems and HMI development.
- Network protocols and industrial communication standards.
- Data acquisition and analysis tools.
- Electrical and mechanical systems used in manufacturing equipment.
