Concept Solutions, LLC (CS) is seeking an experienced
Platform Lead to support a mission-critical application modernization program for a Department of War (DoW) customer.
This initiative will unify access across a portfolio of production applications through a shared platform, delivering a single sign-on experience, a centralized work surface, and a repeatable framework for integrating additional applications.
The Platform Lead will provide hands-on technical leadership across multiple engineering squads responsible for identity management, platform integration, and shared application capabilities. This role requires a strong software engineering background, experience leading multi-squad teams, and the ability to deliver high-quality solutions while maintaining existing production applications.
Platform Leadership & Delivery
- Lead the day-to-day activities of the identity, hub, shell, and Spoke Kit engineering squads.
- Drive execution of the platform backlog, ensuring alignment with program priorities and delivery milestones.
- Collaborate with the Solutions Architect to coordinate sprint demonstrations and communicate technical progress.
- Support an Agile delivery environment with two-week sprints and customer demonstrations at the conclusion of each sprint.
Technical Quality & Engineering Excellence
Oversee technical quality across platform engineering activities.
Lead design reviews and establish consistent pull-request and code-review standards.
Ensure platform solutions meet established architectural and engineering requirements.
Own the technical evidence required to demonstrate successful completion of platform phase-exit criteria.
Support the integration of existing applications into the shared platform while maintaining production stability and sustainment activities.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering.
- 3+ years of experience leading multi-squad platform engineering teams.
- Hands-on experience with modern web application platforms.
- Strong understanding of identity federation and authentication integration.
- Experience with event-driven integration architectures.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical execution, maintain engineering quality, and coordinate delivery across multiple development teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Keycloak, Open Policy Agent (OPA), Kubernetes, and React.
- Active Secret security clearance.
Work Location and Schedule
- Location: Hybrid. Concept Solutions headquarters in Reston, VA, and approved remote locations within the United States, with on-site work at Government facilities in Northern Virginia and Maryland as required.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, with core hours of 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Eastern. Two-week sprints with customer demonstrations each sprint.
- Travel: 0-10%, within the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
- Security Requirement: U.S. citizenship required. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoW security clearance. An active Secret clearance or higher is strongly preferred and may allow an earlier start.
- Compensation: $175,000-$220,000 annual base salary, depending on experience.
- Government-furnished equipment will be used for all access to Government environments.
This position is contingent upon contract award, with an anticipated start in October 2026.
