Full Job Description
Technical Intelligence Solutions (TIS) is seeking a Platform Engineer to support the development, automation, and deployment of secure, scalable applications in a DevOps environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud platforms, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and automation tools, along with a strong understanding of modern DevOps practices.

Description

Security Clearance: TS/SCI required (must be active in DISS).

Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, and maintain applications and infrastructure in AWS and/or Azure environments.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Puppet.
  • Support Kubernetes environments and containerized application deployments.
  • Develop and maintain automation to streamline infrastructure provisioning, application deployments, and system operations.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and automated software delivery processes.
  • Manage and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and application deployments.
  • Integrate systems and applications using APIs and protocols such as REST, JSON, and XML.
  • Develop scripts and automation using Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, Ruby, or similar languages.
  • Work collaboratively with software engineers, systems engineers, and other technical teams in an Agile/DevOps environment.
  • Document technical solutions, configurations, and operational procedures.


Required Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • 3+ years of experience with software development, programming, or engineering in a DevOps environment.
  • 1+ years of experience with automation or Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Puppet.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
  • Experience architecting and deploying applications in AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • DoD 8570 Security+ or CISSP certification, or the ability to obtain the required certification within 30 days of starting.
  • Ability to work full-time onsite in Reston/McLean, VA.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing Git-based version control systems and CI/CD pipelines, including GitLab or GitHub.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automated server or network configuration.
  • Experience with large-scale software deployments, monitoring, and automated testing.
  • Experience provisioning and managing infrastructure and applications across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with JSON, YAML, and XML for configuration and system integration.
  • Scripting experience with Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby.
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
  • Agile, DevOps, or Cloud-related certification.
