Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in database administration or database-heavy development/support roles.
• Proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, and indexing strategies for query optimization.
• Understanding of database security fundamentals, including user management and role-based access.
• Familiarity with Windows Server and Linux environments, particularly RHEL and Ubuntu.

Responsibilities

• Administer databases by monitoring, patching, and performing maintenance and upgrades.
• Execute and verify database backup and recovery procedures following set schedules.
• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements for slow queries.
• Deploy and maintain on-premises services like Event Streaming and Message Brokers.
• Manage security for platform services including user access and role assignments.
• Support maintenance tasks for Windows and Linux servers that host databases.
• Assist with CI/CD pipeline operations, including builds and deployments.
