Full Job Description
We have a new position available at our Ingredients Production Facility in Menomonee Falls, WI to hire an experienced Plant Manager II! This role is responsible for implementing a strategic plan for the plant that is consistent with the long-term goals through leadership which encourages safe, compliant, and responsible operations

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide leadership in driving the company's efforts around safe, compliant, and responsible operations with an emphasis on driving process safety incident performance results to ZERO
  • Develop and implement a solid strategic plan for the plant while balancing its immediate needs with the long-term goals of the company
  • Foster an inclusive and positive team environment that provides an open exchange of ideas stressing honesty, integrity and respect and provide open participation to achieve desired results
  • Provide high-quality services, processes, programs and products to internal and external customers while consistently seeking ways to improve outcomes and enhance service
  • Model positive leadership through open and effective communication, motivation, example setting and best practices
  • Deliver appropriate advice, on-going feedback, support and resources to improve effectiveness of individuals and teams
  • Drive efforts to continuously improve the facilities EH&S and quality performance through use of the ISO 9001 and RC 14001 management systems to create, develop and maintain the facility's processes
  • Foster development and growth of plant employees
  • Responsible for interaction with the surrounding community, including community outreach and emergency planning with local responders
  • Other duties in support of company objectives
  • Consistent with MANE's environmental commitments, every employee shall actively participate in relevant education/training based upon corporate and local environmental objectives. Management shall support and facilitate the actions within their teams to effectively and adequately implement environmental policies, procedures and practices, as well as promote continual improvement consistent with environmental goals.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
  • 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment in roles of increasing responsibility and across several disciplines (i.e. production, safety, engineering, etc.), preferably in a chemical processing facility
  • 5 years of supervisory experience leading, influencing, building and developing a diverse and cross functional team across various levels and skills sets including hourly, salaried non-exempt and professional exempt level staff
  • 5 years of experience I biotechnology/fermentation plant (preferred 10 years)
  • Experience with process transfer and scaling up
  • Experience in effectively developing and managing a high dollar volume annual plan and budget in a cost conscience environment and with financial controls
  • Experience in working within and complying with local, regional and governmental safety, environmental quality and financial standards and laws regulations as required


PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Project & capital management, lean manufacturing practices, good manufacturing practices (GMP) and SAP experience preferred.
  • Ability to identify potential issues and formulate action plans, develop and foster a positive work environment, and resolve conflicts through problem resolution skills
