Job Summary

The Plant Manager will lead all plant operations for our Madison manufacturing facility, ensuring world-class execution in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people development. This role requires strong experience working in multinational environments, comprehensive understanding of automotive or powersports manufacturing standards, and the ability to operate effectively.

Primary Duties

Operational Leadership
  • Oversee daily plant operations including production, maintenance, scheduling, manufacturing engineering, and warehouse.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of equipment, materials, and personnel to achieve production goals.
  • Implement manufacturing best practices including lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive operational excellence across safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.

Strategic Planning & Execution
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop long-term site strategies related to capacity expansion, automation, and capital investment.
  • Lead new product introductions and coordinate with global engineering and program management teams.

Safety & Compliance
  • Lead the development and execution of a strong safety culture; ensure compliance with all OSHA regulatory requirements and company safety standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and implement corrective actions as needed.

Quality Management
  • Ensure product quality meets global standards, customer expectations, and industry requirements.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance to monitor KPIs and lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

Leadership & Talent Development
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a diverse team of supervisors, engineers, and production staff.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture aligned with corporate values.

Financial & KPI Management
  • Develop and manage annual operating budgets for labor, materials, and capital expenditures.
  • Track and report key performance indicators; implement cost-reduction and productivity improvement initiatives.


Qualifications

  • Background in automotive, powersports, or related high-precision, fast-paced manufacturing industries. Experience in metals manufacturing (steel, aluminum), machining, casting, or assembly operations is also helpful.
  • Proven experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and quality systems (e.g., IATF 16949).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills


Education / Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of manufacturing experience, including 5+ years in a plant leadership or senior operations management role including demonstrated success leading teams through growth, change, and cultural integration.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate. This role is also eligible for a bonus.
