DescriptionJob Overview:The Plant Controller is a critical role for the Anderson site. Reporting to the Finance Director, the role has responsibility to ensure proper Governance and Controls are maintained within the business unit and to provide timely and meaningful analysis to the Plant Director, Global COO and North American CFO. The individual will work alongside the Finance Director to complete all reporting and analytical needs of the site and its associated business units. The role will ensure that all shared service finance functions (AP, Credit, AR) adequately support the unit's business needs and that all corporate responsibilities are met in a timely fashion. The Controller will maintain external relationships with the local government agencies & utilities to ensure that the legal entity remains compliant and in good standing. A successful candidate will leverage their hands-on experience to influence all functional areas within the business (Manufacturing, Logistics, Engineering, HR, Safety, Finance, etc) to ensure data and process accuracy throughout the organization. The Plant Controller will support the many ad hoc projects and requests to support the safe, successful delivery of the site's objectives and help to provide a sustainable, robust roadmap for future success.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:- Prepare monthly variance analysis for Anderson site across all KPIs
- Prepare the annual Budget and subsequent quarterly forecasts for Anderson plant factory and Warehouse
- Create close working relationships with all department managers to help analyze and communicate all plant activities and costs (eg. production efficiencies, direct labor efficiencies, bill of materials accuracy, maintenance spend, inventory accuracy, etc.)
- Manage Cash controls, forecasting and reporting
- Timely approvals of banking transactions (US and Mexico legal entities)
- Support the Accounting team with reporting & information for the monthly close process
- Prepare weekly cash reporting and forecasting
- Manage capital expenditure controls, forecasting and reporting (with Engineering support)
- Support the central AR and AP teams, as required
- Complete product costing analysis, as required, to support the Commercial team with pricing for new products and/or new customers.
RequirementsSkills & Competencies:- CPA designation
- Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing industry experience
- In-depth SAP experience in a manufacturing setting
- Proven ability to interpret data and provide meaningful analysis to senior leaders
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Action Oriented
- Managerial courage and the ability to address issues directly
Education and Training:- Post secondary education in a related field.
