Greystone Real Estate Advisory Group, a division of Greystone, is a consulting firm specializing in asset management for public institutions. Greystone drafts and negotiates leases, licenses, easements and other real estate documents for transportation agencies and manages the agencies' leased and licensed portfolios.
The Planning and Real Estate Analyst supports Project Managers and senior staff on real estate, asset management, transit-oriented development, and client initiatives through financial analysis, market and policy research, land use analysis, data collection, and report drafting and preparation. The Analyst will work closely with clients and internal team members to develop clear, accurate, and well-supported deliverables and recommendations.
Additional Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProject and Client Support- Support real estate, asset management, transit-oriented development, land use, and revenue-generation projects for various public agency clients
- Prepare financial analyses, including basic cash flow models, revenue and expense projections, scenario comparisons, and other quantitative evaluations under the guidance of Project Managers and senior staff.
- Conduct market, demographic, economic, policy, and best-practice research; collect and organize data from public and client sources; and summarize findings for project teams.
- Review zoning, land use regulations, comprehensive plans, transportation plans, parcel information, and other planning documents to identify relevant development considerations and constraints.
- Draft and prepare reports, memoranda, presentations, meeting materials, and supporting exhibits; synthesize analysis into clear findings and recommendations; and assist with quality-control review.
- Assist with project coordination by maintaining schedules, tracking milestones and action items, participating in client meetings, and supporting follow-up activities and other planning, real estate, and asset management assignments.
Education and Experience- Master's degree in business, urban planning, real estate, public policy, economics, or a related field or equivalent work experience
- Relevant experience gained through internships, graduate projects, research assistantships, coursework, or 2+ of professional work is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis, interpret zoning and land use information, and communicate findings clearly in written reports and presentations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is expected; familiarity with GIS, financial modeling, real estate or asset management platforms such as Yardi, or data visualization tools is a plus.
Greystone offers a competitive base salary and bonus. The base salary range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000/year. The specific compensation that will be offered is based on an understanding of the hired candidates' qualifications at the time of hire. Employees are eligible for a discretionary bonus based on employee work performance reviewed during the annual review process.
