Schedule: Two (2) Weeks On - Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation
Responsibilities
- Exemplify proactive safety leadership by consistently addressing and upholding BW Gold's safety standards, procedures, and systems within the context of fixed plant operations, instilling a culture of safety excellence.
- Develop, communicate, and maintain a transparent timeline specifically tailored for maintenance projects within the infrastructure team, preparing detailed forecasts for maintenance activities on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Formulate precise job plans aligned with infrastructure requirements for work requests, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and operational necessities.
- Thoroughly confirm the availability of all tools, permits, and contracted personnel before scheduling, minimizing disruptions to infrastructure operations.
- Facilitate an inclusive planning process involving crafts, operators, vendors, Technical Support, and management, ensuring a comprehensive approach to fixed plant project planning and execution.
- Create comprehensive written job procedures uniquely designed for fixed plant operations, promoting consistency and clarity in the execution of maintenance tasks.
- Maintain the accuracy of fixed plant equipment history and bills of materials, ensuring meticulous record-keeping for effective planning and decision-making.
- Provide critical information for the costing and budgeting process tailored to fixed plant maintenance, supporting accurate financial planning and resource allocation.
- May be required to maintain a clean-shaven appearance (i.e. no facial hair) to ensure the safe and effective use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) associated with assigned duties.
Qualifications
- Preferred qualifications include a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or post-secondary completion in a related field of study. Trade qualification with relevant years of experience is also considered.
- Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in Maintenance Supervision, Maintenance Planning, or a closely related discipline within the heavy industrial or mining sector.
- Prior exposure to working in a remote industrial environment is advantageous.
- Demonstrate knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements specific to remote sites.
- Familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), mining, and construction regulations is essential.
- Exhibit effective time management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities concurrently.
- Proficient computer skills, including competency in using Microsoft Office products.
- Previous experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is beneficial.
- Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of mechanical or electrical equipment.
- familiarity with managing contract services and collaborating with manufacturer representatives
