Planner - Electrical

Location:

East Boulder Mine - McLeod, MT

Schedule:

5x2, 4x3 - 9-hour days

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

At Sibanye-Stillwater, the Electrical Maintenance Planner will provide planned work instructions to supervisors and the hourly workforce in the Electrical department. This position uses hands-on experience, training and knowledge to schedule and plan the resources needed for the completion of stationary and electrical maintenance tasks. The Electrical Planner understands and can articulate the specific short term and the general, longer-term goals of the company and always maintains, protects, and preserves the facilities' assets. Must have excellent troubleshooting ability, good communication skills, technical knowledge of production and process equipment, mine processes, and computer operations with the ability to effectively facilitate planning meetings with mine personnel.
  • Plan maintenance activities for long- and short-term scheduling.
  • Prepare weekly and daily work plans and schedules accordingly.
  • Maximize availability of all equipment in line with company operating policies and procedures ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and certifying authority requirements.
  • Coordinate with Procurement Department to ensure parts availability.
  • Screen incoming work orders for priority, scope and level of planning required.
  • Identify Lock Out Tag Out and Try Out requirements for the work order.
  • Identify individual task, estimated labour, skills required, tools, special equipment, engineering, documents, drawings, specifications, assembly and dis assembly instructions and parts for work orders.
  • Execute and document Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities.
  • Build and maintain Bill of Materials/kitting and Model Work Orders/ Standard Jobs.
  • Provide maintenance and equipment performance reports.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Detailed understanding of the planning/scheduling and EAM process.
  • Proficiency in the preparation of operating and capital budgets.
  • Well established communication, interpersonal, and record keeping skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite to include Word and Excel), ERP software (Oracle/JDE or equivalent) and CMMS systems.
  • Working knowledge of industrial maintenance including safety (OSHA/MSHA Rules & Regulations), production, maintenance, economics, equipment, and environmental regulations.

Education & Experience
  • Degree in Mine, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or its equivalent from a recognized institution or meet these standards through proven experience and skillsets.
