In this role, you'll lead the safe, high-quality, and on-schedule installation of process, high-purity, utility, and specialty piping systems while coordinating craft labor and subcontractors in a demanding cleanroom environment. You will thrive in this role if you bring hands-on knowledge of high-purity stainless steel and plastic piping systems, including PVDF and polypropylene, along with experience reading P&IDs and isometrics and leading multi-crew operations. Strong communication, problem-solving, and field leadership skills are essential to success in this role.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY- Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily piping installation activities including carbon steel, stainless steel, high-purity stainless, specialty alloy systems, and high-purity plastic systems such as UPW, process chemicals, specialty gases, and vacuum.
- Enforce cleanroom and contamination-control requirements, including gowning, material staging, and cleanliness protocols.
- Direct and mentor pipefitters, welders, plastic fusion technicians, and helpers while managing crew productivity and resolving field issues in real time.
- Coordinate closely with Project Managers, QA/QC, safety, and other trades while overseeing material handling, fabrication tracking, and field verification of delivered materials and spools.
- Track progress against the schedule, identify constraints early, and implement recovery plans while maintaining accurate daily reports, manpower logs, and as-built documentation.
- Support inspection, testing, including hydro, pneumatic, and helium leak testing, and turnover packages while ensuring work complies with project specifications, P&IDs, isometrics, SEMI standards where applicable, ASME B31.3, and applicable codes.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety observations while ensuring adherence to site-specific safety programs.
YOU'RE READY FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE• 8+ years of industrial piping experience, with at least 4-5 years in a supervisory role on large industrial or semiconductor projects.
• Strong working knowledge of high-purity piping systems, including stainless steel and high-purity plastic piping such as PVDF and polypropylene/Polypro, orbital welding, and plastic fusion/joining methods.
• Proven ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometrics, and construction drawings and lead multi-crew piping operations under tight schedules and high quality standards.
• Experience on semiconductor fab or advanced manufacturing projects is preferred, along with hands-on or supervisory experience with high-purity PVDF and polypropylene piping systems, including socket fusion, butt fusion, and IR welding techniques.
• Current or ability to obtain required site credentials and cleanroom access. OSHA 30 and relevant safety certifications are preferred.
