You will be the Pilot Trainer Developer (Level 4) for the Training Development Team which is responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving advanced aerospace training solutions.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Pilot Trainer Developer (Level 4) you will be responsible for shaping the next generation of aircrew proficiency through innovative, technology-driven instruction.

Your responsibilities will include:

Develop and instruct highly creative training courses for existing and developmental systems.
Provide all training to customer personnel at various locations.
Support pilot, combat systems officer, and electronic warfare officer aircrew by briefing and training test and production crews, as well as systems engineers, on aircraft and ground-system capabilities.
Collaborate with test aircrew, engineers, and simulation technicians to design, implement, evaluate, and document training and technical publications.
Integrate the latest instructional-design trends into training aids such as flight simulators and part-task training devices.

Further Information About This Opportunity
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.

Rated Aircrew Staff

Provide Flight Operations support as an aircraft Combat Systems Operator/Weapon Systems Operator/Electronic Warfare Operator (CSO/WSO/EWO), Navigator, or Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) Pilot. A Rated Aircrew Systems Operator will conduct planning for and execution of experimental, engineering, and production acceptance flight tests to ensure compliance with specifications, operational suitability and gathering of optimum test data to support customer requirements. May perform academic classroom training and aircraft ground and flight training for customer aircrew. Perform technical and mission planning, systems integration, real-time troubleshooting, analysis, and evaluation of systems, and provide recommendations to improve Human Machine Interface of aircraft and ground station functionality. Provide avionics expertise and support to engineering, design developmental teams, training, customer support and marketing teams regarding aircrew interfaces.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Prior military Instructor/Evaluator Pilot or Combat Systems Officer or Naval Flight Officer or Electronic Warfare Officer experience employing tactical mission systems.
• Experience with developing, planning, and facilitating training.
• Experience with instructing mission planning, execution, debriefing, communications and ground control element operations.
• Secret Clearance required to start and the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Clearance per business requirements

Desired Skills
• Experience as a Formal Training Unit (FTU) or VAQ Fleet Replacement School (FRS) or Weapons School or Operational Test experience.
• Experience translating a wide application of tactical aviation technical principles, theories, and concepts into training operations.
• Familiarity with nascent training technologies and applications.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00

The salary range for this position is as listed on the requisition. Please note that the salary information listed is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market(work location) and business considerations when extending an offer.

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
