Department Summary

The RAVN Aerospace Flight Operations Department is a mission-focused team of experienced tactical aviators and aviation professionals supporting military training, adversary air, research and development, test and evaluation, flight training, and specialized tactical aviation missions. As RAVN expands its fleet, operations, capabilities, and customer base, the department is also developing the people, programs, standards, and systems required to build one of the nation's premier tactical aviation companies.

Position Summary

RAVN Aerospace is seeking former military pilots who want to continue flying tactical aircraft while helping shape the future of the company. This is more than a flying job. The Full-Time Pilot & Company Builder will support demanding tactical missions and work alongside exceptional professionals while contributing leadership, initiative, and operational expertise across the organization.

Depending on the successful candidate's interests, experience, and program assignment, this position may contribute to flight operations, standardization and evaluation, instructor development, safety programs, program management, business development, customer relations, training system development, strategic growth initiatives, new aircraft programs, and executive leadership. The strongest candidates are builders, mentors, and innovators who naturally improve the people and organizations around them.

Requirements

  • Former military pilot with tactical aviation experience.


  • Demonstrated leadership, initiative, ownership, integrity, and sound judgment.


  • Ability to support demanding tactical flight operations while contributing to broader organizational priorities.


  • Ability to maintain all qualifications, medical certifications, training, and currency required for assigned aircraft and missions.


  • Ability to comply with company procedures, contractual requirements, and applicable federal aviation and defense regulations.


  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor personnel and collaborate across departments.


  • Availability to work full time and support schedules that may include travel and irregular hours based on operational requirements.


  • Ability to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances, installation access, and/or airport credentials as required.


Desired Experience/Skills

  • Experience in fighter, attack, adversary air, close air support, flight test, developmental test, operational test, or advanced flight training environments.


  • Military instructor pilot, evaluator pilot, flight lead, mission commander, test pilot, weapons officer, or aviation leadership experience.


  • Experience building teams, developing people, improving organizations, or creating new aviation capabilities and programs.


  • Experience in standardization and evaluation, safety, program management, business development, customer relations, or training system development.


  • Strategic thinking, curiosity, emotional intelligence, customer focus, and operational excellence.


  • A humble, team-first leadership style and a commitment to continuous learning.


  • Ability to solve difficult problems, operate with limited direction, and translate ideas into practical results.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to meet and maintain medical and physical standards applicable to assigned flight duties.


  • Ability to safely enter, exit, and operate assigned aircraft and associated flight equipment.


  • Regular use of hands and fingers to handle or operate aircraft controls, tools, and equipment.


  • Ability to work in aircraft, hangar, ramp, and flight-line environments with exposure to loud noise, fumes, varying weather conditions, and other operational hazards.


  • Specific work hours will be determined by operational, departmental, and contractual requirements.


  • Evening, weekend, holiday, overnight, and travel assignments may be required.


  • Other duties as assigned.


Work Authorization

  • Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States and complete an I-9 Form.


  • Must possess a valid driver's license and meet company driving requirements.


  • Must satisfy applicable background, security, medical, and access requirements for assigned programs and locations.
