Position: Physician- Urologist

Location: 50 Eastdale Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY, 12603

Division: Clinical Operations

Department: Urology

Classification: Full Time, Exempt (Salaried)

Reports to: Director of Operations or Clinical Supervisor

Shift/Core Hours: Monday-Friday- 8:30 AM- 5:00 PM

Summary/Primary Role:

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Urologist to join our growing urology practice. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of disorders affecting the urinary tract and male reproductive system. This role includes both outpatient and inpatient responsibilities, with opportunities for procedural and surgical care in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with urologic conditions, including disorders of the kidneys, bladder, prostate, urethra, and male reproductive organs.
  • Perform office-based procedures and surgical interventions as indicated.
  • Provide pre-operative, operative, and post-operative care for urologic patients.
  • Interpret diagnostic studies, including imaging and laboratory results.
  • Collaborate with primary care physicians, specialists, nursing staff, and ancillary providers to ensure coordinated care.
  • Participate in call coverage as assigned.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory results, imaging, and pathology reports.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on current clinical guidelines.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant medical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical meetings, and continuing medical education.
  • Collaborate with clinical team to ensure continuity of care.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with electronic medical record systems.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position may have supervisory responsibility for Advanced Practice Providers (NPs or PAs) within the Urology Department.

Expected Hours of Work:

An Employee must work a minimum of thirty (30) hours each week to maintain full-time status for benefits purposes, however the expectations of the position will require an average of forty (40) hours with overtime required as scheduled. Non-exempt employees are eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable wage and hour laws, while exempt employees may be required to work additional hours as necessary to fulfill their job responsibilities. Overtime requirements will be determined based on the operational needs of the organization.

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining an employee's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and internal equity). Premier Medical Group also offers a comprehensive set of benefits to compliment the base salary. The base annual salary range for this position is $350,000.00-$400,000.00.

Travel Requirements:

Travel between Premier Medical Group office locations may be required.

Work Environment:

There is a mix of outpatient clinic, hospital rounding, and surgical time. The environment is fast-paced and patient-focused, requiring the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain professionalism under pressure.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
• Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
