Physician Assistant Provider

$1,000 Retention Bonus

Rejuv Medical is currently seeking a Functional Medicine Physician Assistant Provider at our Waite Park, MN clinic. This position is a combination of primary care with a specialty in wellness including functional medicine, nutrition and hormone balancing. Rejuv Medical providers must be holistic minded and open to natural, non-drug therapies. Our focus is to resolve health concerns and restore the patient to wellness. The team at Rejuv Medical focuses on symptom relief and long-term prevention by taking proactive measures towards achieving well-being from the inside out. We combine the practice of functional/traditional medicine and strive for excellence with integrative patient treatment outcomes for injuries, pain, hormone imbalance and obesity.

Essential Duties:
  • Manage patient care based on individual patient needs, provider orders, established protocols, applicable laws and regulations, and professional standards of care, with an emphasis on wellness, prevention, and overall health.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, obtain medical histories, conduct physical examinations, and order appropriate diagnostic testing within the provider's scope of practice.
  • Evaluate and interpret patient histories, symptoms, physical examination findings, laboratory results, and diagnostic information to establish appropriate diagnoses and differential diagnoses.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based medicine, applicable standards of care, professional practice guidelines, and each patient's individual health goals.
  • Provide ongoing evaluation, treatment, and follow-up for patients with acute and chronic health conditions.
  • Counsel patients regarding weight management, nutrition, lifestyle modification, exercise, and appropriate nutritional supplementation within the provider's education, training, licensure, and scope of practice.
  • Provide individualized education, guidance, and support to help patients make and maintain sustainable, healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Utilize appropriate behavior-modification, motivational interviewing, and other evidence-based strategies to support patients in achieving and maintaining an active, healthy lifestyle.
  • Educate patients regarding self-management of acute and chronic health conditions, tailoring education and recommendations to each patient's individual needs, goals, and circumstances.
  • Provide functional medicine and wellness-focused services, including weight management and appropriate exercise and functional physical assessments, within the provider's scope of practice.
  • Provide patient education related to hormone health, metabolic health, nutrition, lifestyle, and other wellness services offered by Rejuv Medical, consistent with the provider's training, licensure, and scope of practice.
  • Participate in corporate wellness programs and provide health education presentations and community education as requested.
  • Collaborate with Rejuv Medical providers and clinical staff to promote coordinated, comprehensive, and patient-centered care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in the electronic medical record in accordance with organizational standards, applicable laws, regulations, and professional requirements.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff education, clinical training, and other clinical or practice initiatives as needed.
  • Participate in appropriate marketing, community outreach, and educational activities that support awareness of Rejuv Medical's services and the growth of the practice.


Qualifications:
  • Must have at least one to two years' related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) credential and graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the applicable state.
  • Must be willing and eligible to obtain and maintain a Minnesota Physician Assistant license, if not currently licensed in Minnesota.
  • Experience or formal training in functional medicine preferred.
  • Experience in wellness, weight management, nutrition, hormone health, metabolic health, or integrative medicine preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and patient management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish trusting relationships with patients and provide compassionate, individualized care.
  • Working knowledge of electronic medical records; experience with Athena or similar systems is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office technology.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical support staff.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered, and integrative approaches to healthcare.
