Responsibilities

  • Assists in the diagnoses and therapeutic management of children referred for developmental delays/disorders and/or behavior concerns, under the supervision of a physician
  • Performs medical and developmental screenings and evaluation of infants and toddlers
  • Obtains thorough histories and physicals on pediatrics patients
  • Assists in determining needed evaluations for new patients
  • Provides information and support to families regarding the diagnostic process and guidance and implications regarding diagnosis
  • Initiates referrals to other physicians and agencies
  • Responsible for prescribing and monitoring medications
  • Orders appropriate laboratory, radiological and diagnostic studies
  • Updates and maintains electronic health records
  • Regular and prompt attendance
  • Ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required
  • Related duties as required.
  • Completes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirements
  • Adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards
