Physician Assistant

Job Purpose:

At Orthopaedic Specialty Group, Physician Assistants provide outstanding orthopedic outpatient treatment and surgical care.

Job Duties:
  • Carries an independent office schedule with MD on premises for support as needed. Includes new patients, new problems, pre- and post-operative care.
  • Responsible for ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests including x-rays, MRIs, etc.
  • Carries out orthopedic procedures such as joint injections, aspirations, casting, splinting, and bracing.
  • Documents patient care via Electronic Medical Records.
  • Responsibly prescribes medication, braces, and other orthopedic devices.
  • Takes an active role in patient education.
  • Contributes to team healthcare approach through quality, detailed work, effective documentation and oral communication.

Skills/Qualifications:
  • NCCPA certification and CT License required.
  • Ideal candidate must be able to thrive in fast-paced environment where quality patient care is essential.
  • Orthopedic experience preferred, but will train strong candidate.
  • Must be detail oriented and demonstrate the ability to apply orthopedic concepts.
  • Must be capable of demonstrating professional composure in emergent or stressful situations.
  • References are required.
