The PA will collaborate with
all surgeons, supporting their patients throughout the perioperative continuum.
Position OverviewThis role is primarily focused on
operating room support (~80%), with the remaining
20% dedicated tooutpatient care, including pre-operative evaluations, post-operative follow-ups, and patient education. The PA will work closely with surgeons, nursing staff, and office personnel to ensure high-quality, coordinated care.
Key Responsibilities- First assist in the operating room
- Manage pre-operative and post-operative patient care
- Conduct outpatient visits and surgical follow-ups
- Perform minor procedures and wound care as delegated
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to support patient flow
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
Schedule- Full-time, 5 days schedule
Qualifications- Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
- Current New York State Physician Assistant licensure.
- Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Previous surgical experience or a strong interest in surgery preferred.
- BLS and ACLS required - from AHA
