Physical Therapist Independence, MissouriIf you're an experienced outpatient PT looking for a position with a consistent weekday schedule, this opportunity may be a good match.
Salary: $80K-$90K annually, depending on experience
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9 AM-5 PM
Patient Schedule: About 1-2 patients per hour
Work Setting: Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapy Office
A Typical DayYou'll see patients with a range of orthopedic needs. One appointment might involve restoring knee motion after surgery. Another may focus on shoulder strength, back pain, balance, or rebuilding function after an injury.
You'll be responsible for determining what treatment is appropriate for each case and making adjustments as the patient's needs change.
What You'll Be Responsible For- Examine patients and identify physical limitations
- Establish appropriate rehabilitation goals
- Design exercise programs based on diagnosis and current ability
- Guide strengthening, flexibility, stability, and mobility work
- Use hands-on treatment techniques when indicated
- Review how patients respond between appointments
- Make appropriate changes to the treatment approach
- Educate patients on exercises and activity outside the clinic
- Record treatment details accurately
- Support safe discharge when therapy is complete
Requirements- Active PT License
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or MSPT Degree
- Prior outpatient experience
- Orthopedic rehabilitation background
