  • Full-time and part-time Physical Therapist Assistant roles are available to treat a diverse caseload, including balance and fall-risk clients, orthopedic and post-surgical, as well as a variety of clients seen at the Center.

Responsibilities
  • Help the Physical Therapist in all aspects of patient care.
  • Under the guidance of the Physical Therapist, perform therapy techniques/exercises.
  • Measure and track patient progress, informing the Physical Therapist of all changes.
  • Provide patients with needed continued care information.
  • Assist the Physical Therapist in patient handling, treatment, and management.
  • Carry out techniques and exercises prescribed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Keep the Physical Therapist up to date on changes in patient progress.
  • Assist in measuring and tracking the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Educate the patient on continuing care.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical, legal, and regulatory standards.

  • Accredited PTA program graduate.
  • Valid NJ state license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Proven experience in a clinical setting.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Compassionate care of all clients, including older adults.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and encourage clients to achieve their therapy goals.
  • Physical stamina to stand, lift, and assist clients.
  • At least one year of working in an outpatient physical therapy clinic.
  • Ability to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environment.
  • Self-motivated team player who is willing to learn and take direction.
