PharmcareUSA in Enid, OK is seeking a PIC! ***Competitive Pay Rates*** Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k with some matching, Life Insurance, FSA/HSA, Paid Time Off & Holidays Job Summary: Oversee all day-to-day pharmacy operations and manage all staff in the pharmacy. This position requires full-time hours during all shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Duties:- Manage pharmacy staff by assigning work tasks, providing day-to-day direction, evaluating performance, hiring, firing, training and scheduling work shifts for all employees;
- Fill prescriptions and oversee prescriptions filled by technicians to ensure proper procedures have been followed;
- Consult with the facility, the physician, and/or patient to provide advice regarding drug interactions, generic alternatives, proper medication dosages, etc.;
- Follow controlled substance protocols in accordance with state and federal laws;
- Follow all opening and closing procedures for the pharmacy;
- Ensure that all employees maintain all pharmacy and store protocols and procedures;
- Maintain and manage inventory, ordering new supplies as needed;
- Ensure the pharmacy and adjoining areas are clean at all times; and
- Follow all company compliance guidelines
- Will comply with all Corporate Initiatives and utilize provided tools/resources as appropriate
Requirements
Qualifications:- Minimum BS degree in Pharmacy, with Doctorate Degree in pharmacy preferred;
- Active pharmacist license in the state where pharmacy is located; may require multiple state licenses;
- Judgment and Decision Making in considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one;
- Strong leadership skills to lead by example, supervise staff, and oversee all daily operations to keep the pharmacy running efficiently and legally;
- Excellent customer service skills to develop good relationships with the facility, the physician and all internal company personnel;
- Excellent communication skills to employees at all levels in the organization, as well as externally;
- Strong computer skills to enter prescriptions into company systems;
- Strong math skills used to manage inventory and track pharmacy costs
- Critical thinking to use logic and reasoning in identifying the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, either standing or sitting 100% of the time
- Must be able to frequently move about inside the pharmacy up to 50% of the time to access file cabinets, office machinery, check on direct reports, etc.;
- Must be able to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment such as calculators, copy machines and printers up to 100% of the time;
- Must be able to talk and hear in order to communicate effectively over the phone and in person up to 50% of the time;
- Must be able to see 100% of the time to recognize medications, detect inaccuracies, and observe the work of others; and
- Must be able to lift and/or transport materials weighing up to 50 pounds up to 10% of the time;
- Must be able to tolerate normal office environment and exposure to various medications
