Full Job Description
Citizens Health is recruiting a pharmacist to work full-time in the inpatient pharmacy.

Location: 1525 S Franklin, Colby, Kansas

Responsible to the Pharmacy Manager.

Days and hours: Monday through Friday, rotating shifts 7am-3pm, 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm or 10am-6pm, with call every 3rd week

Pay Range: Salaried position. Dependent on experience

What you bring to the table: (Minimum Requirements)
  • Current State of Kansas Pharmacist license.
  • Proof of passing both NAPLEX and MPJE examinations.
  • Knowledge of hospital pharmaceuticals and medical institution laws and regulations as set forth in Kansas Pharmacy Laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in sterile and non-sterile compounding of hazardous and non-hazardous medication preparations as governed by LSP 797/800.
  • Ability to operate healthcare software systems and navigate patient charts.
  • Skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports and responding correspondence.
  • Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.
  • Ability to maintain quality control standards.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate clearly.

Typical Working Conditions:

Works in well-lighted and well-ventilated area. Requires intense and constant concentration, tolerance of low level noise and numerous interruptions. Must have good communication skills for interaction with all other hospital departments, patients and their families. This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented.

Typical Physical Demands:

Extended periods of standing and sitting as needed to function at an office desk, compounding hood or in ER for trauma assistance., ability to lift 30+ pounds.
