General & Administrative

• In-office

About the Role

We're looking for an exceptional People Partner to support our growing Go-to-Market organization, including Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and GTM Operations, out of our NYC office. This is a high-visibility, cross-functional role: you'll work closely with GTM leadership to build the people strategy, programs, and policies that let the org scale sustainably, not just maintain what already exists.

You'll act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to managers and employees across the full HR lifecycle, including employee relations, performance management, org design, coaching, and program design, while partnering closely with specialist teams (Compensation, Benefits, People Ops, Legal, Talent Acquisition) so the GTM org has the support it needs.

This role suits someone who sees ambiguity as an opportunity to build rather than an obstacle, and who's energized by working shoulder to shoulder with commercial leaders in a fast-moving environment.

What You'll Do
  • Partner with GTM leadership to translate business priorities into people strategies: org design, workforce planning, and talent development.
  • Act as the primary HR point of contact for GTM employees and managers, providing guidance on performance management, employee relations, coaching, and policy interpretation, and conducting investigations when issues arise.
  • Lead and support core HR cycles for your client group: performance reviews, compensation planning, promotion cycles, and engagement surveys.
  • Analyze people data and GTM-specific metrics (attrition, ramp time, quota attainment correlation, etc.) to identify trends and recommend proactive interventions.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on headcount planning, role scoping, and hiring strategy for GTM roles.
  • Support org changes, promotions, and role transitions specific to sales/GTM compensation structures (e.g., commission plans, quota-carrying roles).
  • Drive change management and communication for company-wide People initiatives within the GTM org.
  • Coach and develop frontline and senior GTM managers on leadership and people management skills.

What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of HR experience, with at least 2+ years supporting a Sales, Marketing, or broader GTM/commercial client group (experience with sales compensation structures is a strong plus).
  • Proven experience as an HRBP or similar strategic HR role, ideally in a high-growth, fast-paced environment (SaaS/tech background preferred).
  • Strong understanding of employee relations, performance management, and organizational design principles.
  • Comfort with data: able to build and interpret people analytics/dashboards and use them to influence decisions.
  • Excellent judgment and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills; able to credibly influence senior commercial leaders.
  • Working knowledge of NY State and NYC employment law.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Location

This is an on-site role based in our NYC office, designed for builders who thrive on speed, iteration, and meaningful impact.

For this role, the expected base salary range is $200,000 to $250,000. Profound's total compensation package is designed to be competitive and includes base salary, equity, and a full range of benefits and perks. Final compensation will depend on factors such as your skills, experience, qualifications, and location, and will be determined during the interview process. Our recruiting team will share more details about the full compensation package and benefits as you move through hiring.
