Job Title: People and Culture Business Partner

Location: Mississauga, Canada

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

About the Role

Caldic is growing, transforming, and investing in our people. As a People & Culture Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how leaders and teams connect to our strategy, navigate change, and build a high-performance, values-driven culture. You will act as a trusted advisor to leaders across multiple sites and functions, while also leading Talent & Organizational Development initiatives for North America and partnering with global teams to adapt programs to local needs.

In this strategic and hands-on role, you will anticipate people-related needs, diagnose organizational challenges, and design integrated solutions that strengthen leadership effectiveness, team engagement, and organizational capability. You will coach leaders, guide talent decisions, support organizational change, and ensure a healthy, productive workplace climate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic people insights - Assess business priorities and develop innovative, integrated people strategies aligned with organizational values.
  • Leadership coaching - Provide strategic guidance on all aspects of people management, grounded in best practices and applicable legislation.
  • Manager capability building - Equip leaders to fully own their role expectations and consistently demonstrate leadership success factors.
  • Change Management - Anticipate organizational challenges, shape change strategies, and foster adoption across teams.
  • Talent & succession planning - Partner with leaders to identify, develop, and retain talent while building strong succession pipelines.
  • Conflict resolution - Provide guidance on conflict prevention and resolution to maintain a positive organizational climate.
  • Employee relations - Lead investigations related to labor law, harassment, and employee complaints; recommend actions and partner with stakeholders.
  • Learning & development - Design and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and co-development experiences for managers and employees.


Skills and Experience

  • Degree in Industrial Relations, Human Resources Management, or equivalent experience.
  • 5-8 years of progressive HR experience as an HR Business Partner and/or in organizational design.
  • Experience working in a multi-site, matrixed, and fast-changing environment.
  • Strong planning, project management, analytical, and synthesis skills.
  • Business acumen, agility, and comfort with ambiguity.
  • Broad HR expertise across talent management, performance, employee relations, disability management, change management, engagement, compensation, OD, workforce planning, and succession.
  • Proven ability to influence leaders, build relationships, and drive alignment across teams.
  • Collaborative mindset and a desire to share expertise with colleagues
  • CHRP or CHRL designation is an asset.
