Responsibilities

  • Rounding on pediatric surgery patients
  • Conducting consults and performing newborn circumcisions in the hospital
  • First assisting in the operating room during surgical procedures
  • Seeing new, established, and post-operative patients on clinic days
  • Collaborating with a busy Pediatric Surgery group
  • Providing compassionate care to pediatric patients
  • Adhering to hospital policies and protocols during all patient interactions.

Job Summary:
The Woman's Hospital of Texas is seeking to recruit a Physician Assistant to provide support to a busy, employed Pediatric Surgery group. The position is open to established PAs or new grads interested in the pediatric surgery service line.

Qualified Candidates:
  • Certification as a Physician Assistant
  • Ability to obtain or maintain an active Texas medical license
  • New grad PA's will be considered - but must have strong pediatric surgery experience or passion for pediatric surgery.
  • Must be people-oriented and willing to learn
  • Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
  • Call approximately 6 weeknights a month, & every 5th weekend
  • Will cover The Woman's Hospital of Texas, HCA Houston Clear Lake & satellite locations
