Position: Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon with Academic Appointment at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University

Description: Seeking an individual to expand the Division of Pediatric Orthopedics and the Division of Spine Surgery at University Orthopedics.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include involvement in Clinical Practice, teaching residents in the nationally recognized Brown Orthopedic Residency and Medical Students from The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Research through our nationally ranked Orthopedic research Lab or via our Clinical Research Coordinator is integral to this position.

Academic appointment at the Warren Alpert Medical School potentially available at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, commensurate with experience. Developing leadership and mentoring skills to participate in residency and fellowship leadership will be encouraged.

Qualifications:

Applicants should be fellowship-trained in pediatric orthopedics with an interest in General Pediatric Orthopedics and Spine Surgery, Pediatric and Adult. The surgeon will join the division to provide general pediatric orthopedic care at Hasbro Children's Hospital, including multidisciplinary clinical care and trauma coverage at our Level 1 Trauma Center. Subspecialty in spine surgery in both Pediatric and Adult deformity would be beneficial.
