DescriptionNorthrop Grumman Corporation is seeking a Payroll Analyst for it's Irving, TX office. The selected candidate will work in a shared services payroll organization responsible for processing approximately 90K+ employees nationwide using SAP Payroll software.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Analyze, audit, reconcile, and resolve complex payroll processing and employee payroll issues to ensure timely and accurate employee compensation.
- Execute payroll processing and interfacing routines using SAP software.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of detailed functional process documentation.
- Assist with the evaluation and modification of payroll programs developed by programmers.
- Assist with the evaluation and modification of payroll configuration initiated by CIDO.
- Participate in the implementation and maintenance of payroll-impacting processes developed in-house.
- Participate in the implementation and maintenance of payroll-impacting services provided by external vendors.
- Assist in ensuring all payroll areas are processed accurately on a weekly and bi-weekly basis.
- Assist in confirming that all payments are disbursed via direct deposit and/or checks are printed and distributed as required.
Qualifications & Skills- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Payroll processing experience, including familiarity with regulatory requirements, internal procedures, accounting practices, and system software.
- Knowledge of FLSA, federal and state wage and hour laws, and related regulations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to organize and prioritize work to meet critical deadlines.
- Ability to perform basic payroll calculations.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Critical success factors for candidates will include a highly collaborative work style, the ability to anticipate problems, proactively deal with difficult situations and communicate appropriately with all levels of stakeholders. Most qualified candidates will have strong organizational, problem-solving and closure skills.

Preferred Qualifications:Primary Level Salary Range: $65,800.00 - $98,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
