Job DescriptionWhat you will be doingThe Patient Care Services Manager is responsible for driving the execution, growth, and performance of patient care services across the Southern California Market. This role partners with Pharmacy Managers, pharmacists, District Managers, and Pharmacy Operations leadership to expand access to healthcare services, strengthen clinical program execution, and achieve business results.
Serving as a key field leader and subject matter expert, the Patient Care Services Manager leads market efforts related to immunizations, specialty care services, and emerging patient care programs. Through coaching, collaboration, and strategic partnership, this role helps pharmacy teams deliver exceptional patient care while supporting the growth of the pharmacy business.
This position reports to the Director of Pharmacy Operations and is based in the Fullerton Store Support Center.
Main ResponsibilitiesPatient Care Service Execution- Lead the implementation and execution of patient care and specialty care services across assigned pharmacy locations.
- Serve as the market's subject matter expert for patient care and specialty care programs, ensuring consistent execution and adoption.
- Partner with Pharmacy Managers and pharmacy teams to integrate patient care services into daily operations.
- Establish patient care service goals, monitor performance, and drive achievement of annual participation, sales, and market patient care objectives.
- Support the rollout of new clinical programs, healthcare services, and enterprise initiatives.
Business Performance & Growth- Drive achievement of patient care service goals, participation targets, and financial objectives.
- Analyze performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve patient engagement, service utilization, and business results.
- Develop and implement action plans to improve performance and address execution challenges.
- Partner with Pharmacy Operations leadership and field teams to drive consistent execution across the market.
- Identify opportunities to expand patient care services through healthcare providers, employers, and community partnerships.
Leadership & Talent Development- Coach, mentor, and develop pharmacists to strengthen clinical service delivery, patient engagement, and execution of patient care and specialty care programs.
- Support onboarding, training, and ongoing development related to patient care programs and services.
- Support Pharmacy Managers in building patient care capabilities within their teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with Pharmacy Operations leadership to support pharmacist development and drive patient care program participation and performance.
Compliance & Clinical Oversight- Ensure compliance with Board of Pharmacy regulations, company policies, and patient care service requirements.
- Oversee licensing, certification, and training requirements associated with patient care services.
- Ensure pharmacists maintain required immunization certifications and CPR credentials.
- Ensure compliance with CLIA, bloodborne pathogen, exposure control, and other applicable regulatory standards.
- Monitor compliance performance and support pharmacy teams in addressing gaps and improvement opportunities.
Healthcare & Community Partnerships- Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, employers, community organizations, and other key stakeholders.
- Represent the Company at healthcare events, recruiting activities, professional meetings, and community outreach programs.
- Build partnerships with schools and colleges of pharmacy to support recruiting and professional development efforts.
- Participate in professional organizations, State Immunization Coalitions, and healthcare coalitions that support patient care services.
- Share best practices and support the successful implementation of patient care programs across the market.

Job Requirements - 5+ years of pharmacy leadership, pharmacy operations, patient care services, clinical programs, or related healthcare experience.
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required.
- Active pharmacist license in good standing and ability to maintain all required licenses and certifications.
- Multi-store leadership, field support, or district-level experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations, patient care services, immunization programs, and healthcare compliance requirements.
- Understanding of pharmacy operations, healthcare services, and strategies that drive patient engagement and business growth.
- Experience analyzing operational and financial performance metrics and developing action plans to improve results.
- Experience training, coaching, and developing pharmacy professionals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and pharmacy operating systems.
- Ability to effectively present information, facilitate training, and communicate with large groups.
- Ability to travel throughout the Southern California market, including overnight travel as needed.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
