Patent Attorney (USPTO Registered)

Location: Buffalo, Rochester, Albany, or Saratoga Springs, New York
Job Type: Full Time
Pay: $125,000 to $147,000/year
What you'll do
  • Draft and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications.
  • Respond to USPTO Office Actions and conduct examiner interviews.
  • Perform patentability, freedom to operate, and validity analyses.
  • Research emerging technologies and developments in patent law.
  • Collaborate with inventors, in house counsel, and foreign associates.
  • Participate in client meetings and business development activities.
What you'll need
  • Registration to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Undergraduate or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
