Full Job Description
Who We Need

In the Partnerships - PE/VC role, you will be a foundational member of one of Rillet's most important growth functions.

You'll own a book of private equity and venture funds and turn those relationships into pipeline, revenue, and long-term market advantage across their portfolios. The PE motion is one of the best performing channels at Rillet. Your job is to put fuel on the fire and drive maximum penetration across the ecosystem.

The playbook exists, but it is yet to be fully executed, and you will write the rest of it. You'll own the number, design & run your own outbound, host the events, and represent Rillet to operating partners and CFOs without a chaperone. Your primary focus is reaching the portfolio companies behind each fund, but understanding the management company's own needs is what earns you the right to get there. You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Solutions Consultants, Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and Rillet's Accounting & Advisory Partnerships team to make your funds and their portcos successful.

One thing worth being direct about: this is not an account executive role, and it is not a sales development role. What you close is the partnership with the fund. You will have coverage to build real relationships while still letting you earn a high OTE.

We're primarily looking for teammates within commutable distance of our San Francisco office, with New York considered for the right candidate, or those willing to relocate. Our hybrid schedule brings the team together in person Tuesdays through Thursdays. This role requires significant travel.

What You'll Do
  • Own a book of funds end to end. Open the conversation, multi-thread into operating and deal teams, and take each relationship from first touch through signed partnership and everything after.
  • Drive portfolio penetration. Convert fund relationships into introductions, pipeline, and closed customers across their portfolio companies - not just logos or a slot on a preferred vendor list.
  • Source & Influence opportunities. Work with investors to positively shape sales conversations when their portfolio companies come to Rillet, whether the partner made the introduction.
  • Host & Represent Rillet. Design and execute roughly two high-quality events a month, plus conferences, that senior leaders look forward to - and pull real relationships and insight out of them.
  • Build the infrastructure. Create repeatable go-to-market motions, enable the sales team to work productively with investor partners, and build the operating cadence that makes the channel scale.
  • Identify and execute on strategic initiatives. Work with funds on longer-term bets and ancillary opportunities beyond near-term revenue generation.
  • Raise the communication bar. Build exceptional pitches, partner materials, and outbound that earns a reply from people who delete most of their inbox.
  • Lead across Rillet. Partner closely with every function to ensure your funds' and their portcos' interests

The expected base salary range for this role is $120,000-$160,000 in New York City and San Francisco. Final compensation within this range will depend on factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and the scope of the role. This role is also eligible for equity and benefits.

Note: All official Rillet recruiting communications will come from an [redacted].com email address. If you're contacted from another domain, please disregard the message and report it as spam.
