Full Job Description
About the Role
We're hiring our first partnerships lead to build our partnerships function.
A lot of small businesses choose a benefits broker because someone they trust recommended one. That might be their accountant, an HR consultant, an investor or a software company they already work with. We want Corridor to be the name those people give, and we need someone to turn that into a steady source of new clients.
You'll find the right partners, bring them on and build relationships that last. A big part of the work is education. Before a partner recommends us, they need to understand our service-first approach and why it's good for the businesses they advise. There's no partner program here yet, so you'll decide how it runs and how we measure it.
What You'll Do
Work out which kinds of partners send us the best clients, and decide which firms to start with.
Own each partner relationship, from first outreach and meetings to agreeing on how we work together and getting them live.
Teach partners what we do and why it matters, whether that's one on one, at their team meetings or through events and content for their clients.
Make it easy for partners to refer. You'll work with our product marketing and brand team on the pitch, the materials and the referral process.
Stay close to partners after they sign. Check in, keep them updated on how their clients are doing, and figure out why some partners send business and others go quiet.
Work with our advisors so referred clients have a great first experience, because that's what brings the next referral.
Set up how we track partners and referrals, and share what's working with the team.
What We're Looking For
You've built a partnerships or channel function before, ideally from scratch at a startup.
You can design how a program should run and also do the day-to-day work yourself.
You build relationships that last for years, and you follow up without anyone reminding you.
You're a good teacher. You can explain a new kind of service clearly in one conversation and a one-pager.
You're organized and keep close track of every partner.
You care about how small businesses get served. Partners can tell when you believe in what you're recommending.
Experience in benefits, insurance, HR software or fintech helps, but it isn't required.
