Full Job Description
Position Overview
You have already earned your seat at the Partner table. You have built trust, credibility, and a portfolio that reflects your judgement and leadership. You understand what growth demands, what keeps business owners up at night, and where real value is created beyond compliance. Clients look to you for more than technical expertise. They rely on your perspective, clarity, and insight that helps them move forward with confidence.
Now you are thinking about what comes next. Come build something great with us as our next Partner, Assurance, Audit & Privately Held Business Group.
You are not looking for a role that simply maintains what you have built. You are looking for the right platform to expand it. One that entrusts you to grow a practice, supports your ambition, and surrounds you with peers who want to win together.
This is an opportunity to create something meaningful.
As a Partner, Assurance, Audit & Privately Held Business Group at Doane Grant Thornton, you hold an important role in:
• Leading and growing our Private Company Assurance practice across the Northern Ontario, with responsibility in influencing the strategy, strengthening market presence, and overall practice performance.
• Advising privately held and owner-managed businesses as a trusted partner, bringing practical insight on financial reporting, risk, tax planning, and emerging issues while maintaining strong technical standards and independence.
• Deepening client relationships, expanding your network, and creating new business opportunities by delivering advice that helps business owners navigate complexity, growth, and change with confidence.
• Collaborating across Northern Ontario and the broader firm to deliver integrated, client solutions that reflect the full strength of Doane Grant Thornton.
• Building, mentoring, and leading a high-performing team, in a culture of accountability, development, collaboration, and sustained growth.
If this resonates with how you are thinking about your next chapter, it would be valuable to start a conversation. We recognize that exploring an opportunity at this level requires discretion. All conversations and expression of interest will be handled with the highest level of confidentiality and respect for your current commitments.
