Full Job Description
Yamaha Motor Finance Corporation, USA (YMFUS) has an exciting opportunity for a Paralegal III to join our Legal team. In this role, you will provide critical support to the YMFUS Legal Department and related Yamaha Motor Finance legal functions. You will contribute to contract management, litigation and bankruptcy matters, corporate governance administration, records management, legal research, and compliance activities, helping to ensure the organization operates effectively while mitigating legal and regulatory risk. This is a hybrid position, permanently based out of Cypress, CA Global Headquarters.

What You'll Do
  • Support litigation and bankruptcy matters, including case file organization, discovery management and production requests, bankruptcy oversight, and coordination with outside counsel.
  • Manage, oversee, and mentor the Paralegal I role by providing guidance and direction across key legal support functions.
  • Assist with drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and tracking commercial agreements, including master service agreements, statements of work, and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Prepare and maintain corporate governance documentation for YMFUS, YMFC, and affiliated entities, including board and committee meeting minutes, resolutions, and shareholder approvals.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis, monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments, and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
  • Support company records management and retention programs by coordinating with internal business partners to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Assist with compliance activities, including license management, examination and audit support, complaint management, and related research as needed.
  • Provide legal support and analysis for the annual renewal of Yamaha insurance policies and licenses.
  • Maintain highly confidential information with professionalism, sound judgment, and discretion.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.


What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of paralegal experience, preferably supporting corporate legal functions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional organizational abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage complex documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and operate with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information.


Preferred Qualifications
  • ABA-approved Paralegal Certification.
  • Experience supporting litigation, bankruptcy, corporate governance, and compliance activities in a financial services or corporate environment.
  • Prior experience providing guidance, training, or oversight to junior paralegal staff.

Pay:

$90,000 - $105,000

The pay range for this position is $90,000 - $105,000. Yamaha intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related experience. Base pay is part of Yamaha's Total Reward Program; our Talent Acquisition Team will share more details as candidates progress through the Recruiting Process.
