The Paralegal – Fund Finance is a valued member of the Firm’s Fund Finance practice in the New York office. Fund Finance Paralegals help attorneys address complex legal and business issues by providing support throughout the loan transaction process and responding to daily practice needs. The role supports client intake, preparation of simple loan documents under attorney supervision, transaction closings, lien searches, signature collection, and the preparation and review of final closing documents. By combining strong organizational and technical skills with the Firm’s technology and administrative resources, the Paralegal helps attorneys deliver a superior level of legal representation to clients.

The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, collaborative, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position requires effective communication skills and the availability and flexibility to work overtime as business and transaction needs require. This is a billable position requiring accurate and timely submission of matter-attributable billable hours, with a minimum billing requirement of 1,650 hours per evaluation period.

The position’s primary responsibilities include:

• Provide comprehensive paralegal support to Fund Finance attorneys throughout the loan transaction process.
• Assist with client and matter intake and help coordinate the information and documentation required to open and support new matters.
• Prepare simple loan and closing documents under the supervision of an attorney, including UCC financing statements, signature pages, and loan booking memoranda.
• Order lien searches and coordinate the receipt, organization, and review of search results.
• Assist with transaction closings by preparing, organizing, and reviewing final closing documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Manage the signature collection process, including coordinating electronic signatures through DocuSign and maintaining organized execution records.
• Assemble, organize, and distribute transaction documents and closing materials.
• Respond to daily requests from Fund Finance attorneys and provide timely, accurate support across active matters.
• Coordinate multiple assignments and transaction deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Meet the minimum requirement of 1,650 annual billable hours.
• Participate in the Firm’s Global Responsible Business program.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED SKILLS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICAITONS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• At least three (3) years of relevant professional experience, preferably from a large law firm or title company environment.

• Bachelor’s degree required (including strong academic record i.e., have a min. 3.0 GPA) or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

HOURS

The core hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. ET, including one hour for lunch, with the willingness and ability to work additional hours as needed.

In New York, the expected base salary range for this role is $96,000 to $119,000 per year. 

This range reflects a good-faith estimate of pay at the time of posting; the actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as the candidate’s qualifications. This position is eligible for additional forms of compensation, which may include annual discretionary bonuses.  Employees in this role are also eligible for benefits offered by the firm, subject to applicable plan terms and conditions, which currently include medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) retirement plan; and paid time off.
