Job Summary The Palantir Tester will validate a Sprint 0 Palantir proof of concept end-to-end, verifying that data migrated from a legacy system flows correctly through the Palantir pipeline and into a target system consumable format. The role focuses on data migration validation, including source-to-target reconciliation, schema and system validation-rule conformance, data profiling, and performance testing of the change-data-capture workload. Testing will be performed incrementally alongside development and will culminate in client acceptance sign-off, with an emphasis on proving data integrity and interface reliability for the migrated flow.
Key Responsibilities • Perform System Acceptance Testing (SAT) to validate migrated data flows against customer acceptance criteria and facilitate customer validation sign-off. • Perform System Integration Testing (SIT) to verify interfaces and the complete end-to-end data path into target system consumable output. • Conduct performance testing to validate pipeline and ETL throughput for the change-data-capture workload across approximately 40 normalized, time-variant tables. • Establish baseline performance metrics for the migrated data flow. • Perform source-to-target data reconciliation at row and field levels between legacy system snapshots and the Palantir target. • Conduct schema-conformance testing and validate system data-quality and validation rules. • Perform data profiling and completeness checks to confirm that data is not lost or transformed incorrectly during migration. • Develop test plans, test cases, and requirements traceability. • Log, triage, track, and retest defects. • Execute incremental and Agile testing aligned with sprint cadence. • Perform regression testing as pipelines and interfaces evolve. • Utilize automated testing and validation tooling and accelerators where available. • Support testing within Army data migration or ERP/personnel-system environments, including NIPR test-environment handling where applicable.
