  • Develop, implement, and maintain innovative packaging designs.

  • Research and integrate advanced packaging materials and methods.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and recommend improvements for packaging failures.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic changes in packaging processes.
  • Release specifications via the Engineering Change Order process.
  • Support and train junior packaging engineers as needed.

Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain packaging designs for product assemblies and parts.
  • Generate packaging piece-part and material specifications.
  • Research and implement packaging materials, equipment, and methods that will benefit the business. Performs root cause analysis on packaging on simple failures and recommends corrective action.
  • Identify and pursue cost-saving initiatives via changes in package designs, materials, equipment, processes, sourcing strategies, and any means under engineering control.
  • Release specifications via Engineering Change Order process.
  • Provide basic training and as-needed support to Packaging Engineer I.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. Duties will vary according to the project in progress and/or the specific goals of the department in which the incumbent works.


Requirements
  • Graduating with a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, or a related field
  • Student must be in good academic standard at their university, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
