Responsibilities

Full Job Description

The Cancer Care Service Line at Corewell Health is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Hematology program. This position will support our growing Hematology practice, seeing patients primarily in the outpatient setting at Lemmen Holton Cancer Pavilion, with cross coverage to our inpatient floor across the street at Butterworth Hospital- both ideally situated on Corewell Health's dynamic 'medical mile' in downtown Grand Rapids. Enjoy working as an integral part of our multispecialty team approach to patient care, including tumor boards with integrated teams.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, will value team-based care, and will be intrinsically motivated to learn.

This is a full-time position, working five 8-hour shifts per week or four 10-hour shifts weekly. Once onboarded, there will be a need to participate in on-call responsibilities with future work needs on weekends/holidays.

Qualified candidates will have previous experience working as a Hematology/Oncology Advanced Practice Provider, but new graduates will also be considered with CV's that demonstrate experience or special interest in oncology.

Qualifications

  • Required Master's Degree Nurse Practitioners who obtained their education and certification after 2000 must show evidence of completion of a master’s, post-master’s or doctorate from a Nurse Practitioner program that is accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission

  • 3 years of relevant experience current, relevant clinical experience Required

  • Previous experience functioning in a collaborative role Required

  • Experience as a Nurse Practitioner Preferred

  • LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required

  • LIC-Nurse Practitioner (NP) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required

  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required Or

  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required

  • CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required

or

  • Required Master's Degree Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program

  • LIC-Physician Assistant - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
