Physician Assistant (PA)

The Physician Assistant (PA) works collaboratively as part of a care team to provide quality comprehensive primary medical care services to Sea Mar patients. This role focuses on team-based coordinated care, clinical affairs, and improving the patient care experience while adhering to organization-wide mission and core values.

Key Duties:

  • Provide primary medical care services in accordance with training, experience, certification, insurance, and licensure, under the supervision of medical leadership.

  • Refer patients to medical specialists or other sources of service when necessary.

  • Prescribe and/or dispense required medication according to Washington State Board prescriptive authority and with the sponsoring physician's supervision.

  • Participate in preventive health programs (immunizations, disease detection/prevention) and approved education programs for patients and community groups.

  • Participate in clinical affairs and work with administrative and medical leadership to improve patient care.

  • Provide care for special groups of patients such as those in nursing homes or other institutions when appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Baccalaureate degree or a minimum of two (2) years of college credits.

  • State licensed Physician Assistant-Certified.

  • Successful completion of an accredited physician assistant program.

  • Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

  • Notation of approval on license to prescribe legend drugs, and a current DEA certificate if requesting privileges for controlled substances.

  • Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire date and maintain throughout employment.

  • Knowledge of and interest in the unique cultural aspects of the Hispanic people.

  • Bilingual ability in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.

Additional Requirements: Pre-hire and annual employee health screening required; annual influenza vaccine required (or an approved administrative exemption with mandatory masking). Might require additional education for some specialty areas.

Starting Wage: $131,250

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday

Salary - Salary Plan, 130,000.00 USD Annual
