Full Job Description
Location: Milton, PA
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $34.00 - $36.00 per hour (up to $45.00/hour for licensed clinicians)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Position Summary

The Outpatient Therapist provides individual, family, and group therapy services to children, adolescents, and families. The therapist conducts assessments, develops and implements treatment plans, coordinates care with families and community providers, maintains clinical documentation, and delivers evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support client growth and recovery.

This position works closely with clients, families, referral sources, medical professionals, case managers, schools as needed, and other treatment providers to ensure coordinated and effective care.

Essential Responsibilities

Clinical Services
  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide individual therapy services to children, adolescents, and young adults.
  • Conduct family therapy sessions and parent meetings as clinically appropriate.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions when applicable.
  • Monitor treatment progress and revise treatment plans as needed.
  • Utilize trauma-informed and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

Collaboration & Care Coordination
  • Coordinate care with families, referral sources, community providers, and outside agencies.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.
  • Communicate treatment progress and recommendations with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with case managers, medical providers, schools, and support systems when clinically appropriate.
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) when applicable.

Documentation & Compliance
  • Complete assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other required clinical documentation within established timelines.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Adhere to agency, state, Medicaid, and program standards.
  • Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
  • Present accurate clinical information to referral sources and treatment team members.

Professional Development
  • Participate in clinical supervision and ongoing training.
  • Maintain professional and ethical standards of practice.
  • Attend required staff meetings and professional development activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Licensed, license-eligible under Pennsylvania regulations.
  • Experience working in behavioral health, mental health, or related clinical settings.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience providing outpatient therapy services.
  • Community mental health experience.
  • Experience working with children and families.
  • Trauma-informed care experience.
  • Knowledge of child and adolescent behavioral health treatment.
  • Experience working with Medicaid-funded services and clinical documentation requirements.
