The Imaging Center Supervisor supports the overall operations, clinical quality and administrative functions of the outpatient imaging center. This role works closely with the Asst Director of Outpatient Imaging to ensure efficient workflow, regulatory compliance including ACR standards, high-quality patient care, and staff performance. The Imaging Center Supervisor serves as a leader for imaging personnel and helps drive operational performance and patient satisfaction. This role will also be a working supervisor position as needed.
Position Responsibilities
Supervisor/Team Lead Capabilities- Demonstrates accountability for shift/team operations and care/service delivery to support achievement of organizational priorities.
- Coaches front line team members to support ongoing professional development and hardwire technical and professional capabilities.
- Creates a high performing team by building strong relationships, delegating work and nurturing commitment and engagement.
- Manages team conflict/issues implementing appropriate corrective actions, improvement plans and regular performance evaluations.

Standard Work: Outpatient Imaging Clinical Supervisor - Assist in overseeing daily operations of the imaging center including MRI. CT, Diagnostic x-ray, Ultrasound, Mammography, DEXA, and any other imaging modality added
- Ensure efficient patient flow, appropriate scheduling and resource utilization
- Monitor equipment maintenance, compliance with PMs, and physics testing
- Help support budget management, cost control and productivity goals
- Maintain compliance with accreditation requirements. (ACR, Joint commission etc.)
- Supervise, mentor and evaluate all Imaging technologists and support staff. Monitor licensure, training, and competencies while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Ensure high levels of patient satisfaction, scheduling and service excellence by addressing any patient concerns and resolving any complaints effectively. Promote a patient centered culture.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, radiologists and other departments that have an impact on the outpatient center.
- Address any patient concerns as they arise
- Maintain clinical competency and participate in imaging procedures as operational needs require.
- Perform diagnostic imaging examinations within the individual's education, training, credentialing, competency, and scope of practice.
- Serve as a clinical resource for imaging technologists and support staff.
- Monitor examination quality and adherence to established imaging standards.
- Promote patient safety, radiation safety, MRI safety, infection prevention, and appropriate patient-care practices.
- Ensure staff are participating in appropriate patient identification, screening, preparation, positioning, imaging, and documentation.
- Address any concerns with radiologists regarding protocols, and image quality.

- Advanced registries in one or more modalities
- Knowledge of imaging modalities and healthcare regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to communicate to leaders any issues or concerns
- Problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to successfully multi-task
- Proficiency in all computer systems. (PACS, EMR and RIS systems)
