We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled
Outage Planners to join our team at K&A Power Group in

The team will manage and coordinate outage planning forall distribution and transmission projects from design submission through commissioning, ensuring projects are safely planned, scheduled, tracked, and executed while coordinating with key stakeholders. Volume of outages (clearances) is roughly around 2,000 annually. Team members will be part of various project teams and expected to participate in those team meetings when outage needs are discussed. They will also support a Work Management team and various meetings including morning "plan of the day" calls and coordination calls, and run any required meetings directly related to clearance reporting.
Role Expectations: - Manage outage planning for Distribution Overhead, Underground, and Transmission & Substation projects within PECO's Project & Contract Management (PCM) organization, from design submission through commissioning.
- Conduct constructability reviews of engineering designs and convert scope into executable outage work packages and system clearances.
- Develop clearance sequencing and coordinate outage/clearance schedules with PECO's Operations Control Center (OCC), Exelon's Transmission System Operator (TSO) and all other required resources.
- Monitor and adjust clearance scheduling to accommodate competing priorities, outage constraints, system needs, and storm impacts.
- Track project progress daily across engineering, construction, switching, mapping, and pre-construction activities.
- Manage and track all outage requests and clearance submittals to ensure compliance with OCC and TSO requirements, targets, and deadlines.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Project Managers and their teams, Regional Work Management organizations, OCC, TSO, contractors, and specialized vendors.
- Have expertise and maintain required credentials in LOTO requirements, TSO clearance processes, AS8 (PECO's tool for documents), and TOA systems (Exelon's tool).
- Coordinate bundling of project, corrective maintenance, and preventive maintenance work to maximize outage utilization and increase annual work completion.
- Manage cross-functional coordination, proactive prioritization, and formal escalation management.
- Coordinate various resources required to implement clearances
What we're looking for: - Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent 10 years of relevant experience is recommended.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of progressive-related electric utility or other related industry experience, with transmission facilities construction management experience preferred. Five (5) years' experience in a supervisory capacity preferred
- PECO experience is preferred
- Extensive knowledge of construction management practices applicable to electrical utility transmission construction and generation projects.
- Extensive knowledge of interconnected electrical system operations.
- Knowledge of government regulations, including OSHA, NESC, and industry codes affecting electric utilities.
- Knowledge of contract preparation, negotiations, and administration..
- Demonstrated ability to make competent decisions in emergency situations.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings, and technical manuals.
- Excellent written and verbal communications, including correspondence, reports, and other business documents.
- Working knowledge of best practices in safety policies and procedures.
- Microsoft Word and Microsoft Project or Equivalent
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Must be able to report to site or office as needed
Pay Range $125,000-$160,000/year The salary range for this role considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to technical ability, experience and training, licenses and certifications, and other related skillsets. The disclosed range is an estimate and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
