Full Job Description
We are seeking an?Orthopedic Trauma Manager?to oversee the growth of our trauma product portfolio within our geography. The Orthopedic Trauma Manager must grow customer and team trust through consistent communication, engagement, and Operating Room observation. This position is responsible for maintaining expert knowledge of our trauma products. The manager will use this information to drive sales and inspire our teams to fulfill the Arthrex mission of "Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better." This role demands strong leadership, availability to travel to the Arthrex Headquarters in Naples, FL as needed. The manager must also be available to work after hours, including evenings and weekends, when supporting cases, medical education events and team meetings. We are seeking competitive, team-oriented individuals who have a desire to grow a territory and exceed expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develops a business plan and strategy for the territory and ensures attainment of company sales goals, quotas, and profitability.
  • Grow relationships with surgeons and hospital staff at Level 1 trauma centers, including academic institutions (i.e. UNC & Duke)
  • Responsible for the development and performance of teams and individual sales associates.
  • Works closely with Territory Managers and Director of Medical Education to manage training and education curriculum for sales teams and teaching programs.
  • Initiates and coordinates development of annual, quarterly and monthly targeting & action plans to grow business by pursuing sales of existing and new products including focus products.
  • Ensures all sales representatives meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals, and closes.
  • Delegate authority and responsibility with accountability and follow-up.
  • Conduct regular field visits to provide coaching and customer support.
  • Sets examples for sales representatives in areas of knowledge base, personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits.
  • Conducts regular coaching and counseling with sales representatives to build motivation and consultative selling skills.
  • Builds strong relationships and works closely with Arthrex management to ensure attainment of company sales goals, quotas, and proper protocols.
  • Attend surgeries to provide technical expertise and guidance to surgeons and operating room staff.

Requirements

Education and Skill Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3-5 Years of Orthopedic Trauma experience
  • Excels in the OR with vast clinical knowledge and tactful communication.
  • Prior sales leadership or management experience (Preferred)
  • Excellent communication, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experienced and comfortable making executive presentations.
  • Excellent listening skills, including the ability to identify and isolate customers' concerns or objections, in addition to excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong relationship-building skills required.
  • Proven record of exceeding sales quotas.
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills are required.
  • Conduct sales analysis to identify territory trends, weaknesses, opportunities and execute actions plans to address those areas.

Relationships and Roles:
  • Maintains contact with all clients in the market to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all agency and Arthrex employees.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.

Specialized Courses and Training Requirements:
  • Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Professional / Consultative Sales Training required
  • Negotiation Skills Training (preferred)
  • Post college Managerial/Leadership Training (preferred)

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
  • Current Driver's license
