Tryon Medical Partners is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine to join our newly expanding orthopedic service line. This is a unique opportunity to be part of building a high-growth, physician-led musculoskeletal program with a focus on arthroscopy, joint preservation, and comprehensive sports care.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in shaping the future of orthopedics at Tryon, working within a collaborative, outpatient-focused model supported by a strong and growing primary care referral network.
Position Highlights- Focus on sports-related injuries of the shoulder, knee, and hip
- Arthroscopic procedures including ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, labral repair, and meniscal surgery
- Opportunity to develop relationships with local schools, athletic programs, and community organizations
- Ability to build a balanced practice of surgical and non-operative sports medicine
- Collaborative care environment with primary care, physical therapy, and specialty colleagues
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical & Surgical Care- Evaluate and manage a wide range of sports-related orthopedic conditions
- Perform arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgical procedures
- Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating operative and non-operative care
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with a focus on outcomes and return to activity
Program Development & Growth- Contribute to the growth and development of the sports medicine service line
- Establish referral pathways and community relationships to build patient volume
- Participate in strategic planning for expansion of orthopedic services and ASC utilization
Collaboration & Care Coordination- Partner closely with primary care physicians and rehabilitation teams
- Coordinate pre- and post-operative care to optimize patient outcomes
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
Qualifications- MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship training in Sports Medicine required
- Eligible for North Carolina medical licensure
- Interest in program development and practice growth preferred
