Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs our Orthopedic Surgeon, you will diagnose and treat a wide array of musculoskeletal conditions, ranging from scoliosis and fractures to complex damage involving tendons, muscles, and ligaments. Your expertise will be instrumental in improving musculoskeletal health through diverse surgical procedures including repairing, salvaging, or replacing bones and joints, and reconnecting nerves. This role emphasizes comprehensive patient management, from initial consultation and treatment planning to extensive aftercare and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Every day you will consult with patients and conduct thorough examinations to diagnose bone, joint, ligament, or other musculoskeletal problems. You will perform various surgical procedures such as repairing broken bones, reattaching tendons and ligaments, or executing joint and hip replacements.
To be successful in this role, you will be a highly skilled Orthopedic Surgeon possessing a comprehensive understanding of musculoskeletal defects, diseases, and disorders. This requires proven expertise in orthopedic surgery, an unwavering commitment to detailed patient care, and exceptional collaboration skills to work effectively with specialists, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers. Job Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification or board eligible in Surgery from the American Board of Surgery
- Oregon medical license and DEA certificate
- Specialty training at an ACGME accredited facility
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
